The Ajax Curtain Outdoor Jeweller is a wireless outdoor curtain detector for perimeter protection. It creates a narrow detection barrier along walls, windows, doors and fences, so intruders are picked up before they reach the building. It is intended for houses, commercial premises and other sites where the area outside the walls needs to be covered, and it is rated IP55 and environmental class IV.
Two PIR sensors and a 24 GHz K-band microwave sensor work together so the detector triggers only when both sensor types see motion, filtering out false alarms from thermal interference. The detection distance is set between 8 and 12 m with a slider, and a pet-immune mode is available when mounted at 1 m. Anti-masking, an accelerometer and a tamper switch report attempts to block, move or remove the detector. Two CR123A batteries last up to three years.
