The Ajax DoubleButton Jeweller is a wireless hold-up device with two buttons that must be pressed together to raise an alarm. It is designed for shops, banks, reception desks, pharmacies and homes where staff or residents need a discreet way to call for help, and where accidental activation has to be kept to a minimum. Ajax lists compliance with EN 50131, EN 50134-2 and PD 6662.
Requiring both buttons, separated by a plastic divider, prevents false hold-up alarms from knocks and accidental presses. A confirmed hold-up alarm can be set up using one DoubleButton or several, and an LED shows that the command has reached the hub. It can also trigger alarm scenarios. The device can be carried or fixed in place with the optional Holder, is rated IP55, and runs for up to five years on a CR2032 cell.
