The Ajax FireProtect 2 RB (Heat/Smoke) Jeweller is a wireless combined smoke and heat detector with replaceable batteries. It is intended for homes, flats, offices and small commercial premises protected by an Ajax system, where fire detection should report through the same Ajax apps as the intruder alarm without running cables to each ceiling.
The optical chamber detects smoke by particle size and ignores steam, while the heat sensor meets Class A1R requirements and alarms on high temperature or a rapid rise. The built-in 85 dB sounder warns occupants locally and the hub notifies users through the Ajax apps; an alarm from one detector can sound all connected fire detectors, with a fallback that works even if the hub link is lost. Two CR123A batteries give up to seven years of operation.
