The Ajax ReX 2 Jeweller is a wireless range extender for Ajax alarm systems. It is aimed at installers working on larger homes, offices, warehouses and other sites where some detectors, keypads or sirens sit beyond the radio reach of the hub. It relays both Jeweller alarm traffic and Wings photo traffic, so MotionCam photo-verification detectors can be extended too.
ReX 2 can link to the hub by radio or by Ethernet, using the cable as an alternative or main channel for events, alarms and photos. Up to 199 devices can be routed through one unit, depending on the hub model, and up to five units can be added to a hub. It runs from the mains with a built-in backup battery, reports tamper alarms, and is configured and updated remotely in the Ajax apps.
