The Ajax Superior DoorProtect Plus Jeweller is a wireless opening detector from the Superior line that also detects shock and tilt. Besides reporting when a door or window opens, it can raise an alarm when someone strikes or forces the protected door or window, or when it is tilted. It is intended for homes and commercial premises and is certified to Grade 2 under EN 50131 and PD 6662.
Two reed switches allow the magnet on either side, with small and large magnets supplied for gaps of up to 1 or 2 cm. An accelerometer provides the shock channel, with three sensitivity levels and a detection radius of up to 1.2 m on glass or wood, and the tilt channel, with a threshold adjustable from 5° to 25°. Single shocks can be ignored. A wired NC input and a holding screw are included, and a CR123A battery lasts up to five years.
