The Fortinet FortiAP 243K is an enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 indoor access point with external RP-SMA antennas, four radios and two spatial streams (2x2 MIMO). It supports the 6 GHz band and is equipped with one 10 Gigabit and one 1 Gigabit Ethernet port. A dedicated scanning radio provides 24/7 background scanning across all bands while the other radios serve clients simultaneously on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. An integrated BLE/ZigBee radio supports beacon and location-based applications.

FortiAP access points are managed centrally by the integrated WLAN controller on any FortiGate security appliance, or through the FortiEdge Cloud provisioning and management portal. Combining the wireless controller with the FortiGate appliance suits campus and branch deployments, and brings wired and wireless security together under Fortinet's Security Fabric single-pane-of-glass management.

The external-antenna 243K suits sites needing directional or higher-gain antennas; the internal-antenna variant is available as the FortiAP 241K.
