The Fortinet FortiSwitch 1048E is a high-performance Data Center switch delivering outstanding throughput, resiliency and scalability for organizations with demanding data center network requirements. It's ideal for Top of Rack server or firewall aggregation, and for enterprise network core or edge deployments where high-performance 10GE and 40GE connectivity is required.

It reduces complexity and management cost by having network security functions managed through a single console via FortiGate. This lets every user be authenticated against the same database whether they connect over a wired or wireless network, including temporary guest users, with the same security policy applying regardless of how or where they connect.

With 48x GE/10GE SFP+ ports and 4x 40GE QSFP+ uplinks behind a 1280 Gbps switching fabric, the 1048E is future-proofed for the bandwidth demands of intensive data center and network core applications, and maximises availability with dual hot-swappable power supplies.
