FS-108FFortinet FortiSwitch 108F
List PriceThe FortiSwitch™ Secure Access family delivers outstanding security, performance and manageability for threat-conscious businesses of all sizes. The FortiSwitch 108F is a compact, fanless desktop switch with 7x GE RJ45 ports, 1x GE/PoE-PD RJ45 port and 2x GE SFP uplinks, sized for small offices and branch wiring closets.
Tightly integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric via FortiLink, every FortiSwitch can be administered directly from a connected FortiGate’s own interface. That single console gives complete visibility and control over users and devices across the network, however they connect — making FortiSwitch a natural fit for SD-Branch deployments spanning everything from desktop access to data-centre aggregation, while keeping network security and access-layer management converged.
FortiLink is Fortinet’s proprietary management protocol: it lets a FortiGate next-generation firewall automatically discover and manage FortiSwitch units, turning each switch into a logical extension of the firewall inside the Security Fabric. Centralising switch management this way cuts operational complexity and cost, since security and access-layer policy — including role-based access control — is configured and enforced from a single console.

Frequently asked questions
How is the FortiSwitch 108F managed?
Via FortiLink, directly from the interface of a connected FortiGate firewall for single-pane-of-glass Security Fabric management, or as a standalone managed switch using its own CLI and web GUI.
What’s the difference between FortiCare Premium and Elite support?
Both are paid support tiers for the switch, available in 1, 3 or 5 year terms. Elite is priced above Premium at every term length, reflecting an enhanced service level; full SLA details are confirmed at quotation.
Does the FortiSwitch 108F supply Power over Ethernet?
The 108F does not supply Power over Ethernet to connected devices. It ships with a 12V/1A DC power adapter, and its dedicated GE/PoE-PD RJ45 port lets the switch itself be powered over PoE where mains power isn’t convenient. Where PoE output to phones, cameras or access points is needed, the 108F-POE (65W budget) or 108F-FPOE (130W budget) cover the same 8-port layout with PoE+ output.
