Fortinet FortiSwitch 224E-POE

The Fortinet FortiSwitch 224E-POE is a Layer 2/3 secure access switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports, 4 Gigabit SFP ports and PoE+ output on 12 of those ports with an automatic 180W power budget limit. It extends the Fortinet Security Fabric into the wiring closet, powering wireless access points, IP phones and cameras from the same switch that carries their data.

Running in FortiLink mode, the switch is managed directly from the familiar FortiGate interface, so network security and access-layer functions, including PoE control, are configured and monitored through a single console. Users and devices are authenticated against the same identity store whether they connect over the wired LAN or wirelessly, including temporary guest users.

A consistent security policy follows each user or device regardless of how or where it connects, and the same 1U chassis and redundant AC power supply used across the FortiSwitch 2xxE range keep the 224E-POE straightforward to deploy alongside other FortiSwitch models.
