The Pyronix KX15DT is a hard-wired 15m dual-technology detector that pairs a PIR sensor with a microwave Doppler sensor. It is aimed at homes and commercial premises where a PIR-only detector could be prone to false alarms. It is certified to EN 50131 Grade 2, Environmental class II, for systems installed to PD 6662, and wires to the Pyronix EURO range or any conventional wired control panel.

In the default AND mode both technologies must trigger together before an alarm is signalled, which cuts false alarms; an OR mode is also available. Microwave range is set with a potentiometer from 0 to 15m, PIR sensitivity is auto or high, and a link selects 50Hz or 60Hz mains. Three LEDs show microwave, PIR and alarm activity, which makes walk testing straightforward.
