The Pyronix KX15ED is the entry-level hard-wired PIR detector in the KX range, giving 15m volumetric coverage for rooms, offices, hallways and similar spaces. It is certified to EN 50131-2-2 at Grade 2, Environmental class II, for systems installed to PD 6662, and connects to the Pyronix EURO range or any conventional wired control panel.

A low-noise dual-element pyroelectric sensor sits behind an 85° lens with 60 detection zones. Sensitivity is set high or low with a link, and advanced automatic temperature compensation keeps detection consistent as room temperature changes. Header pins on the circuit board select end-of-line resistor values for normally closed, EOL or zone-doubling wiring, and a red LED confirms activations and the power-up self-test.
