SHOCK/WPyronix Wired Shock
The Pyronix SHOCK/W is a hard-wired shock sensor that detects the vibration of an attack on walls, ceilings, door frames and window frames, raising the alarm before an intruder gets in. It suits perimeter protection on homes and commercial premises where a door contact alone is not enough. It is certified to EN 50131 Grade 2, Environmental class II, and wires to Pyronix or other wired control panels.
A piezoelectric sensor picks up vibration, and the installer sets high or low range, fine sensitivity and a pulse count of 1, 2, 4 or 6. A heavy blow above the set sensitivity is treated as a gross attack and triggers the alarm straight away. With no moving parts the sensor is not gravity dependent, so it can be fitted in any plane or orientation, and a latching LED shows which sensor triggered.
