The Texecom Impaq S is a wired Grade 2 shock sensor that detects the shock transmitted through a surface by an attempted forced entry, giving early warning before an intruder gets inside. It is aimed at installers protecting doors, window frames and walls in homes and commercial premises, and is made in colours to match common uPVC, wooden and aluminium frames.

Texecom's VIBER accelerometer technology detects sub-surface shock in all three dimensions, so the sensor can be mounted in any orientation, and it ignores airborne high-frequency noise that can trouble piezo-based sensors. Five digital sensitivity settings cover materials from wood and framed glass to concrete, and the LED-assisted set-up confirms the right setting with a simple impact test.
