The Texecom Odyssey X-BE is a Grade 2 wired external sounder module with an integral backlight. It is the backplate and electronics of the Odyssey X bell box, designed to take either an Odyssey X1 or X3 front cover, and suits domestic and small commercial intruder alarms where a branded, illuminated bell box is wanted on the front of the building.

The module has a 109 dB(A) piezo sounder, a xenon strobe and alternating white comfort LEDs, with a NiMH standby battery so it self-activates if its supply wires are cut. Patented engineer hold-off mode lets the engineer open the unit for servicing without setting it off. Low current and SCB modes reduce the current drawn from the panel, which helps when several sounders share one control panel.
