The Texecom Odyssey X-D is a dummy sounder module for the Odyssey X range of external sounders. It has no electronics at all, but with an Odyssey X1 or X3 cover fitted it matches the look of a live Odyssey X bell box, so it suits installers who want a visible deterrent on a second elevation or a low-cost decoy where a working sounder is not required.

Because it shares the same backplate size and covers as the rest of the Odyssey X range, the X-D sits alongside live wired or wireless sounders on the same building without looking different. It needs no power supply, cabling or batteries, so fitting is simply a case of fixing the backplate to the wall and fitting the chosen cover.
