The Texecom Premier Elite 8XP-W is an 8-zone wireless expander that adds Ricochet wireless devices to a wired Premier Elite control panel. It connects to the panel's 4-wire network like any wired expander and takes a single network address, which makes it a practical way to add a handful of wireless contacts or detectors where cabling would be difficult.

Ricochet is Texecom's wireless mesh: each device can receive and repeat messages from others, so signals can hop through up to two other devices to reach the expander, and the network re-routes itself if a path weakens. The 8XP-W has an engineer's keypad connection for programming at the expander and a serial port for Ricochet Monitor diagnostics software.
