The Texecom Premier External TD is a wired outdoor motion detector built for security use in harsh outdoor environments. It uses two non-overlapping PIR sensors with mirrored optics in an IP65 sealed housing, and suits gardens, driveways, yards and building perimeters where an installer wants early warning of an intruder before they reach the building itself.

Range is set by rotating a dial on the underside of the head to 12, 8, 5 or 2 m, and the 90° coverage can be turned through 180° without taking the unit apart. Selecting the shortest range that covers the area reduces the risk of false alarms. Day/night mode, high white light immunity and digital temperature compensation help it work reliably through changing outdoor conditions.
