The Varta CR123A (type 6205, IEC CR17345) is a 3 V lithium manganese dioxide primary cell, supplied here in Varta's Industrial Pro packaging. It is the battery used in many wireless alarm devices, including Hikvision AX PRO PIR detectors, smoke detectors and outdoor detectors, and is a common replacement for installers carrying out routine maintenance visits.

Varta rates the cell at a typical 1550 mAh (100 Ω load to 2.0 V at 20 °C), with self-discharge below 1% at room temperature and a storage life of more than ten years, so spare stock keeps well. It is a non-rechargeable cell and is supplied as a single unit.
