The Ajax Superior MotionProtect Jeweller is a wireless PIR motion detector from the Superior line, built for professionally installed intruder alarm systems in homes, offices, shops and other indoor premises. It is certified to Grade 2 under EN 50131 and PD 6662, and differs from the standard MotionProtect in having a holding screw for its mounting panel, a matt enclosure and a battery suited to stable operation.

The detector covers up to 12 m with an 88.5° horizontal field when mounted at 2.4 m. Three sensitivity levels can be set remotely, and pets up to 20 kg and 50 cm tall are ignored. The SmartDetect algorithm and temperature compensation help it tell real movement from interference. It communicates with the hub over encrypted Jeweller radio at up to 1,700 m in open space and runs for up to five years on one CR123A cell.
