The VigorSwitch PQ1070x is a compact, Smart Lite managed 2.5 Gigabit switch that solves the modern access-layer problem in one small box: five 2.5GbE PoE+ ports for Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, IP cameras, VoIP phones and NAS devices, backed by two 10Gb SFP+ fibre uplinks so the backbone never becomes the bottleneck.

With a 75W total PoE budget and up to 30W per port (IEEE 802.3af/at), it powers devices over the data cable — no power sockets needed at the ceiling or wall — while fanless operation keeps it silent in noise-sensitive spaces. It is the natural way to feed a multi-gig AP such as the VigorAP 962c (2.5GbE uplink) at full speed, behind a router like the Vigor 2928.

Frequently asked questions

Will 75W power my access points?

Each port delivers up to 30W (PoE+), with 75W available across the switch. Add up your devices' PoE draw — for a handful of APs and phones that is normally comfortable, and we will gladly check your list before you order.

Why 2.5GbE instead of Gigabit?

Wi-Fi 6/6E access points can exceed 1Gbps of real traffic. 2.5GbE ports let those APs — and NAS boxes — run at full speed over existing Cat 5e/6 cabling.

What does Smart Lite management include?

Layer 2 essentials through a web interface: VLANs, QoS, IGMP Snooping, Storm Control and Loop Detection — enough control for a well-organised SMB network without enterprise complexity.

Is it noisy?

No — it is fanless and silent, so it can live in an office or retail space rather than a comms room.
