FAP-234G-EFortinet FortiAP 234G
List PriceFortiAP access points are managed centrally through the integrated WLAN controller built into any FortiGate security appliance, or via the FortiLAN Cloud provisioning and management portal. Because wireless control sits inside the FortiGate appliance itself, this suits campus and branch deployments where wired and wireless security are run from a single console as part of Fortinet's Security Fabric.
The FortiAP-234G is an IP67-rated, ruggedised outdoor Wi-Fi 6E access point with three radios and internal antennas, providing two spatial streams per radio. It supports the 6GHz band, OFDMA, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port plus an additional 1 Gbps Ethernet port for PoE diversity, and can scan continuously across all bands while still serving clients on the remaining radios. An integrated Bluetooth Low Energy radio supports beacon and locationing applications.
FortiAPs support a range of installation topologies to fit any enterprise, from a single building with multiple floors to a campus of several large buildings, with wireless traffic protected by the same firewall, IPS, application control and web filtering engines used on the wired network.
