The Fortinet FAP-23JK is an enterprise-class Wi-Fi 7 indoor wall-plate access point with three radios and two spatial streams (2x2 MIMO). It supports the 6 GHz band — subject to regional regulatory approval — and is fitted with one 10 Gigabit Ethernet WAN port plus three 1 Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports, one of which supports PSE PoE output. The AP provides 24/7 background scanning across all bands while continuing to serve clients on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. An integrated BLE/ZigBee radio supports beacon and location-based applications.
FortiAP access points are managed centrally by the integrated WLAN controller on any FortiGate security appliance, or through the FortiEdge Cloud provisioning and management portal. Combining the wireless controller with the FortiGate appliance suits campus and branch deployments, and brings wired and wireless security together under Fortinet's Security Fabric single-pane-of-glass management.
As a wall-plate form factor, the FAP-23JK is built for hotel rooms, dormitories and offices where a discreet in-room access point with pass-through Ethernet is needed.
