Rated performance includes 198 Gbps IPv4 firewall throughput, 55 Gbps IPsec VPN throughput and 11 Gbps SSL-VPN throughput, with up to 12 million concurrent sessions and 750,000 new sessions per second. It supports Active-Active, Active-Passive and Clustering high-availability configurations.

Hardware-only or a bundle?
Hardware-only is the FG-1801F-DC appliance on its own. The bundle options add FortiCare Premium support with either FortiGuard Unified Threat Protection (UTP) or FortiGuard Enterprise Protection, over a 1, 3 or 5 year term, so licensing and support are pre-agreed with the hardware.
What does the -DC in the name mean?
This model takes -48V to -60V DC power input (20A maximum) through its 2 x 800W DC power supplies, for telecom and data-centre racks running on a DC power plant. The standard FortiGate 1801F instead takes a 100–240VAC mains supply (7A@100VAC, 3A@240VAC).
