Fortinet FortiSwitch 124G-FPOE

The Fortinet FortiSwitch 124G-FPOE is part of the FortiSwitch Access family, built for enterprise branch offices and small-to-mid sized business networks that need secure, easy-to-manage Ethernet switching without adding operational overhead. It's a 1 RU rack-mount switch with a large 780W PoE budget across its 24 access ports, suited to floors with a mix of access points, IP phones and PoE cameras.

It connects to a FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall over FortiLink, Fortinet's proprietary switch-management protocol. FortiLink turns the switch into a logical extension of the FortiGate, so wired and wireless security policy, VLANs and access-layer functions are all managed from the same FortiGate console.

With FortiLink enabled, the FortiGate can also profile and onboard connecting devices with basic Network Access Control (NAC): automatic segmentation and security policy per device type, quarantine for compromised endpoints, and virtual patching against known threats — giving the switch a built-in foundation for zero-trust network access (ZTNA) at the edge.
