Yealink W90B Multi-Cell DECT Base Station

The W90B is the base station of Yealink's largest DECT platform, the W90 Multi-Cell System. Up to 60 W90B base stations connect into a single system, creating wireless coverage for the biggest and most awkward sites — hospitals, hotels, distribution centres and campuses of any size and any shape.

At full scale the system supports up to 250 handsets and 250 simultaneous calls — one call guaranteed on every handset — while users roam freely with seamless handover between cells. Each system is coordinated by a W90DM DECT Manager, which is a required element; W90B units then go wherever coverage is needed.

The system works with the Yealink W53H, W56H, ruggedised W59R, CP930W conference phone and DD Phone, and both W90B and W90DM combine a modern, compact design with Yealink HD voice, full-duplex technology and the Opus codec.

Yes — the W90DM DECT Manager is a required element of the W90 Multi-Cell System. It coordinates the W90B base stations, which provide the radio coverage.

How large can the system grow?

Up to 60 W90B base stations can be connected, and the system supports up to 250 handsets and 250 simultaneous calls.

W80 or W90 — which platform should I choose?

Both are multi-cell systems with seamless roaming and handover. The W80 tops out at 100 handsets and 100 calls; the W90 scales to 60 bases, 250 handsets and 250 calls, and also supports the ruggedised W59R handset. Choose W90 for the largest or growing estates.
