DrayTek Vigor Access Point 805

The VigorAP 805 is a dual-band Wi-Fi 6 access point that brings modern 802.11ax performance to homes, offices and busier, high-density spaces. With link rates of up to 600 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 2400 Mbps on 5 GHz, it comfortably handles video calls, cloud applications and streaming across a full room of devices.

Its clean white cylindrical design is made to be seen — it looks equally at home on a desk, a shelf or a reception counter, so there is no need to hide it away where coverage suffers. Feed it from a Vigor router such as the Vigor 2767ax or a compact switch such as the VigorSwitch G1080 and it is ready to serve.

Frequently asked questions

Does it need a separate power supply?

No — a UK 12V/1A PSU is included in the box, along with a Cat 5e Ethernet cable, so you have everything needed to get it on the network.

Is it suitable for a busy office?

Yes. Wi-Fi 6 is designed for high-density environments, sharing airtime efficiently between many clients, so the AP 805 suits open-plan offices as well as homes.

Where should I place it?

Anywhere visible and central — the white cylinder design is intended for desks, shelves and counters rather than being tucked away, which also gives the best coverage.

Will it work with my existing router?

Yes — it connects over Ethernet to any router or switch. Pairing it with a DrayTek Vigor router keeps management within one ecosystem.
