DrayTek Vigor 2927 Lax 5G Router

The Vigor 2927Lax is the most complete member of DrayTek's 2927 dual-WAN family: two Gigabit Ethernet WANs, an integrated 4G/LTE modem and built-in Wi-Fi 6, all on the platform designed for FTTP and Gigabit internet connections with load balancing and failover.

That combination suits sites that want maximum resilience and modern wireless from a single unit — fixed line first, second line or 4G behind it, and 802.11ax Wi-Fi for the office. The 2927 platform's VPN, firewall, content filtering and bandwidth management are all on board. Extend coverage with a VigorAP 962c and grow the LAN with a VigorSwitch P2100.

How is this different from the 2927ax?

The Lax adds an integrated 4G/LTE modem to the 2927ax's dual-WAN, Wi-Fi 6 platform — so mobile broadband becomes a third connectivity path without any external hardware.

Can 4G be the primary connection?

Yes — use the LTE modem as the main WAN where fixed lines are poor or not yet installed, then repurpose it as automatic backup once fibre arrives.

Does it have a DSL modem?
