The Fortinet FortiGate 90G is a next-generation firewall for building security-driven networks at distributed enterprise sites. It delivers 28 Gbps firewall throughput, 4.5 Gbps IPS throughput and 2.2 Gbps threat protection throughput through 8× GE RJ45 ports and 2× 10GE RJ45/SFP+ shared-media pairs, with 1.5 million concurrent sessions and 124,000 new sessions per second.

AI/ML-based FortiGuard security services and the integrated Security Fabric platform give coordinated, automated, end-to-end threat protection across the network. SD-WAN and zero-trust network access (ZTNA) enforcement are built into the same appliance and run on one operating system, so the 90G controls, verifies and enforces application access in a single policy framework.

FortiOS converges networking and security across the Fortinet Security Fabric, delivering consistent, context-aware security wherever it is deployed. The 90G drives 25 Gbps of IPsec VPN, includes a TPM for hardware root of trust, and supports dual DC power inputs for redundancy.

The 91G is the same platform with a 120 GB SSD for on-box logging and reporting; the 90G has no internal storage. Every other headline specification matches.
