The Fortinet FortiSwitch M426E-FPOE is a Layer 2/3 member of the FortiSwitch Secure Access family, built for edge and access deployments that need a mix of standard Gigabit and multi-gigabit PoE ports. It combines security, performance and manageability in a single 1RU switch, giving threat-conscious businesses a right-sized access layer for wired and wireless devices alike.

Tightly integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric via FortiLink, the M426E-FPOE can be managed directly from the familiar FortiGate interface. FortiLink is Fortinet's proprietary management protocol that turns the switch into a logical extension of the FortiGate, so network security and access-layer functions are configured and monitored through a single console — reducing complexity and giving full visibility over users and devices regardless of how they connect.

Its port layout — 16x GE RJ45, 8x MultiGig 2.5GE UPOE-capable RJ45, 2x MultiGig 5GE RJ45 and 4x 10GE SFP+ — with an automatic 420W PoE output limit makes it well suited to powering Wi-Fi 6/6E access points, PoE cameras and other multi-gigabit edge devices from a single switch, while FortiLink integration keeps it under centralised, role-based policy control.
