GL-RM4PE-4PX-UKGL.iNet Comet X (GL-RM4PE) Quad-Port Remote KVM with PoE
The Comet X replaces four separate KVMs with one rack-ready unit: control up to 4 servers at 4K@30 FPS from any browser or the GLKVM app, with latency of 30–60 ms on a local network. For MSPs, server rooms and homelabs, that means fewer site visits, less hardware and dramatically less cable clutter in the rack.
Power arrives over Ethernet (802.3af/at PoE), with automatic USB-C 5V backup if PoE drops, and included brackets fit both 10-inch and 19-inch racks. The 3.69-inch touchscreen shows device IPs, online status and a live screen preview of any connected machine, while a front-panel button and local keyboard/monitor ports give you a proper console when you are physically at the rack.
Because it is a hardware KVM, you get BIOS-level access even when a system is unresponsive, plus 64 GB eMMC as a built-in image repository for ISO storage, OS deployment and emergency recovery. Remote reachability comes via Tailscale, ZeroTier, Netbird or self-hosted deployment — with UK stock and support from CLI Secure.

Frequently asked questions
What is a remote KVM?
A remote KVM (keyboard, video, mouse) gives you hardware-level control of a computer over the internet — you see its screen and type as if you were at its desk. Because it works below the operating system, it lets you reach the BIOS and recover machines even when the OS is frozen or dead.
How is this different from remote-desktop software?
Remote-desktop tools need a working OS and an agent running on the target. Comet X connects through HDMI and USB-C at the hardware level, so it works during boot, in the BIOS, during OS installs, and when a system is unresponsive — exactly the moments remote-desktop software fails you.
Can I really manage four servers with one device?
Yes. Four HDMI IN and four USB-C device ports connect four hosts; you switch between them in the browser, in the GLKVM app, or with the front-panel button when working locally. Beta testers report it replacing multiple single-port KVMs in a single rack.
How do I power machines on and off remotely?
Wake on LAN is built into GLKVM, and Comet X supports up to four ATX boards or Fingerbots for independent remote power control — an ATX board connects via USB for reliable wake-up.
Does it need the cloud?
No. As well as browser and app access, Comet X supports Tailscale, ZeroTier and Netbird, and can be deployed fully self-hosted.
