What SIM does it take?
A nano SIM in its single SIM slot. The UK version's Quectel EG25-G is a global module, and the built-in modem supports AT commands, manual or automatic dialling, SMS checking and signal strength checking for easy configuration.
How long can it run on battery?
It has a built-in rechargeable 5,000 mAh battery so you can bring it anywhere with you; power draw is under 4.4 W. It charges at 5V/2A (5V/3A when running without the battery).
Does it support eSIM?
The Puli is compatible with GL.iNet's eSIM solution using a physical eSIM card paired with the firmware. Note: units with the Quectel EP06-A module do not support eSIM; EP06-E modules need a firmware upgrade to enable it.
Is it good for IoT projects?
Yes — that is a core use case. OpenWrt, up to 512 GB of MicroSD storage, a web service API for IoT device modelling, control logic and data analysis, plus remote SSH make it a solid IoT gateway for healthcare, retail and other deployments.
