Grandstream Ceiling Mount Bracket for GSC3506 SIP Speaker

The Grandstream GSC3506 ceiling bracket mounts the GSC3506 SIP intercom speaker overhead rather than on a wall. In an announcement or paging system that is usually the right place for it: sound spreads evenly down into the space instead of firing across it, and the unit is out of reach of the people underneath.

Ceiling mounting also solves the problems walls create. A speaker on a wall has a near side and a far side, needs a clear run of wall to sit on, and is at head height where it can be knocked or tampered with. Overhead, none of that applies.

Does it fit other GSC speakers?

This bracket is supplied for the GSC3506. Send us the model number if you are mounting a different unit and we will confirm the right part.

How many speakers do I need for a given area?

It depends on ceiling height, the noise floor and how much of the space has to hear an announcement clearly. Send us a floor plan and we will suggest positions rather than have you guess.

How is the speaker powered?

Over Ethernet, from a PoE switch or an injector — one cable does power and audio, which is what makes ceiling positions practical.

Are ceiling fixings included?

Fixings are not guaranteed in the pack and depend entirely on the ceiling. Suspended tile, plasterboard and concrete soffit each need different anchors, and the weight is going overhead — use the right ones.
