The official flush mount and in-wall mounting kit for the Grandstream GDS372X door entry systems — the backbox that recesses the panel into the wall rather than standing it proud of it.

A recessed panel sits almost flush with the brickwork. It looks deliberate rather than bolted on, it gives vandals and passing trolleys much less to catch, and it keeps the panel out of the worst of driving rain.

It means cutting the wall, and that is the decision to make before the concrete goes in. On a new build or a refurbishment where the opening can be formed, flush mount is the better finish; on a finished solid wall, the surface-mount kit is the practical answer.
