The official wall mounting kit for the Grandstream GDS3700 series door entry systems — the surface-mount backbox that the door station fixes onto.

A door station is not a doorbell. It carries a camera, a card reader and mains-free PoE cabling, and it lives outdoors on a wall that gets rained on and leaned against. The mounting kit is what holds it square, keeps the cable entry out of the weather and gives a clean edge against the brickwork.

Order it with the door station. Mounting parts are the classic thing left off a first order and discovered on installation day, with the installer already on site.

Frequently asked questions

Surface mount or flush mount?

Surface mount fixes onto the wall and needs no cutting — quicker, and the only option on solid brick or where you cannot break the wall. Flush mount recesses the panel for a neater finish but means cutting a hole. On a new build, flush; on a retrofit, usually surface.

Do I need it, or does the door station come with a bracket?

Check what came in the box for your specific model. If you are ordering the door station now, tell us the wall and we will make sure the right mounting parts are on the order.

Do I also need the L-type bracket?

Only if the panel needs to be angled towards where people approach from. They solve different problems and are often used together.

Are the wall fixings included?

The kit includes its own hardware, but the right fixing for your wall — brick, block, render or timber — is a site decision and worth having ready.
