Wesley G.Grandstream Single-Port PoE Injector
Available on back order
The Grandstream PoE injector puts power onto a single Ethernet run where there is no PoE switch to do it. Mains goes into the injector, the data cable passes through it, and power and data arrive together at the far end — so a phone, access point or camera can go somewhere that has network but no socket.
It is the practical answer to a common problem: one device needs PoE, the switch in the cabinet does not provide it, and replacing the switch to power a single endpoint is not a sensible spend. An injector costs a fraction of that and takes a minute to fit.
Ideal for
- Adding one PoE device to a network with a non-PoE switch
- Access points in ceilings and voids with no power nearby
- A single camera or door entry unit at the end of a long run
- Temporary installations, demos and site surveys
- Engineers' van stock — the fix that avoids a return visit
Key features
- Adds PoE to one port — no switch replacement needed
- Power and data over one cable — nothing to install at the device end
- Powers devices where there is no socket — ceilings, voids, external positions
- Straightforward to fit — in-line between the switch and the device
- Cheap insurance — worth keeping in the van or the comms room drawer
Works with
- Grandstream GWN access points — the most common use for an injector
- Grandstream IP phones
- Grandstream GDS door entry
- Grandstream PoE switches — the better answer once you are powering several devices
- All PSUs and accessories
Frequently asked questions
What PoE standard and wattage does it deliver?
Injector ratings differ by batch, and a device that needs PoE+ or PoE++ will not run on a basic injector. Tell us which device you are powering and we will confirm the current specification is right for it before you order — this is the one detail worth checking.
How many devices will it power?
One. If you have several, a PoE switch is cheaper per port and far tidier than a row of injectors and plugtops.
Where in the run does it go?
At the switch end, near a mains socket. The data cable goes from the switch into the injector, and the powered cable continues to the device.
Does it need configuring?
No. It is a passive part of the cabling — plug it in and it works.
It shows as out of stock — can you get one?
Yes. Tell us the quantity and the device you are powering and we will confirm lead time and the right rating.
Not sure whether you need an injector or a PoE switch? Call 0333 242 1314 or email sales@clisecure.com with the device list and we will work it out with you.
