The Grandstream 3000mAh Li-ion battery is the genuine replacement pack for the WP826 and WP836 Wi-Fi cordless handsets — the largest capacity in the WP range, and the reason those two models are specified where a shift runs long. It is user-swappable: the cover comes off, the pack lifts out, and the handset is back on the floor in under a minute.
Every lithium-ion cell loses usable capacity as it cycles. On a handset charged nightly, the drop becomes noticeable after two to three years — a phone that used to last a shift starts asking for the cradle at lunchtime. Replacing the pack costs a fraction of replacing the handset, and holding charged spares lets a device stay in service while the other pack recovers.

Will this fit a WP822 or WP825?
No. Those use the 2000mAh pack, which we list separately. The 3000mAh pack is specific to the WP826 and WP836.
Can I fit this larger battery to an older WP820 for more runtime?
No. The pack is sized and keyed for the WP826 and WP836 housings. The WP810, WP816 and WP820 take the 1500mAh pack.
How long will a battery last before it needs replacing?
Two to three years of daily charging is typical. Heavy shift use and charging in warm environments both shorten it.
Should I buy one spare per handset?
On a single-shift site, a few shared spares are usually enough. On a two-shift operation, pair each handset with its own spare pack and a cradle so there is always one charged.
How should old batteries be disposed of?
Lithium-ion cells must not go in general waste. Use a WEEE battery collection point or your waste contractor's battery stream.
