The Jabra Engage 65 Mono is a single-eared professional DECT wireless headset whose base station connects to both the PC (USB) and a desk phone (RJ11), so one headset covers softphone and telephone calls. The UC variant plays nicely with the broad range of softphone platforms.

Does it work with my desk phone and my softphone?

Yes — the base connects to the desk phone over the included RJ11 cable and to the PC over USB, and the wearer takes calls from either source on the same headset.

How is DECT better than Bluetooth here?

DECT is a dedicated wireless voice standard with much greater in-building range and a secure link that does not compete with Wi-Fi or paired mobiles — the right technology for roaming an office floor mid-call.

Can I answer the desk phone from across the office?

Taking and ending calls from the headset is built in; answering a ringing desk phone remotely usually needs an EHS adapter or handset lifter for your specific phone — we can supply the right one.
