The EAP225 is TP-Link's AC1350 wireless MU-MIMO gigabit ceiling-mount access point — a long-standing favourite for small offices, shops and waiting rooms that need dependable dual-band Wi-Fi at a sensible price. MU-MIMO serves multiple clients at once, and the gigabit wired connection keeps the uplink from becoming the bottleneck.

It ships ready to install: passive PoE adapter, power cord and mounting kits are all in the box, so a single cable run to the ceiling is all the infrastructure it needs. If you are specifying new sites today, the Wi-Fi 6 EAP610 is the natural step up; for outdoor areas, the matching EAP225-Outdoor extends the same generation outside. Power it neatly from a PoE switch such as the LS105GP.

Frequently asked questions

How is it powered?

A passive PoE adapter and power cord are included, so the AP is powered over its Ethernet cable even without a PoE switch. On a PoE-equipped network you can simplify the install further.

Do I need a controller?

No — it runs standalone out of the box. In multi-AP deployments, Omada management makes configuring and monitoring several access points far easier.

Where should it be mounted?

It is designed for ceiling mounting in the centre of the coverage area, with wall mounting as an alternative; both mounting kits are included.
