The TL-SG1218MPE is an eighteen-port gigabit switch in a rackmount chassis — the workhorse size for a small business cabinet where 8 or 10 ports no longer stretch far enough but a 24-port unit would sit half empty. Every port runs at gigabit, and it powers directly from the mains with a standard UK IEC lead.
