The TL-SM311LS is a TP-Link SFP fibre transceiver — slot it into a switch's SFP port, connect the fibre, and the link is up. It is the standard way to build longer uplinks that copper cabling cannot reach: between cabinets on different floors, across a site, or into a fibre backbone.
It fits SFP slots throughout the TP-Link range — the Omada SG3452 carries four — and works alongside the MC220L media converter when the far end is copper-only. Its sibling is the SM311LM; which of the two you need depends on your fibre type and distance, and we will happily confirm before you order. An installation guide is included in the box.

Does it need configuring?
No — SFP modules are hot-pluggable and auto-detected. Fit the module, connect the fibre and the port comes up.
