Frequently asked questions
Does it create a separate network?
No. As part of Zyxel's MPro Mesh solution it joins the gateway's existing network, giving seamless roaming on a single SSID rather than a second extender network to switch between.
Why does the 2.5GbE port matter on an extender?
Two reasons: it allows a multi-gigabit wired connection for devices near the extender, and where structured cabling exists it lets the extender link back to the gateway at above-gigabit speeds — keeping fast broadband fast at the far end of the house.
Is a power supply included?
Yes — the box includes a 12V/1.5A power adapter with both UK and EU clips, an Ethernet cable and a quick start guide.
WE3300 or WE4600?
The WE3300 is a dual-band BE7200 extender; the WE4600 adds a third 6 GHz band at BE19000 for the most demanding households. Match the extender to the gateway class and the property size.
