As Fortinet’s top-of-the-line Wi-Fi 6 access point in this form factor, it adds OFDMA, a 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port and a second Gigabit Ethernet port with PoE out. It can run dual 5 GHz bands for extra capacity while still covering 2.4 GHz clients, or dedicate a radio to full-time scanning; the integrated BLE radio supports beacon and locationing use cases.
It intelligently supports integrated security controllers (FortiGate) alongside cloud management options, running FortiGuard services at the edge.
Wi-Fi 6 technology with OFDMA improves client throughput and overall network efficiency, and the AP integrates with Fortinet’s Security Fabric for network-edge threat protection.
