List PriceThe Fortinet FortiExtender 100B is a 3G/4G wireless WAN extender for the distributed enterprise, retail locations and SMBs, pairing with a FortiGate to provide a cellular WAN connection as a backup to the primary wired link — with FortiOS handling rapid failover if the wired connection drops.
It uses an external USB cellular modem rather than an internal module, with support confirmed for AT&T, Verizon, Rogers, Bell, Sprint and Telstra USB modems, giving flexibility to match the carrier available at each site.
The unit is Power-over-Ethernet powered, rated IP55 for outdoor use, and can be pole or wall mounted up to 100m from the FortiGate or network switch to maximise signal strength. Once connected, it appears as a standard FortiOS interface with full UTM security, policy control and data-quota visibility.
