List PriceThe Fortinet FortiSwitch 2048F-B2F is a Layer 2/3 FortiGate switch-controller-compatible data center switch, built on the same 48x 25G SFP28, 8x 100G QSFP28 and 2x 10G SFP+ port layout as the FortiSwitch 2048F, with dual AC power supplies.
What sets the 2048F-B2F apart is its airflow direction: back-to-front, rather than the standard front-to-back cooling used on the rest of the 2048F family. This makes it suited to data center rows and containment layouts where cold air is supplied at the rear of the rack rather than the front.
As a switch-controller-compatible model, the 2048F-B2F is designed to integrate with a FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall for centralized management of switching alongside network security, in the same way as other FortiSwitch data center models.
