Tightly integrated into the Fortinet Security Fabric via FortiLink, the 424E-FIBER is managed directly from the familiar FortiGate interface, giving complete visibility and control of users and devices on the network regardless of how they connect, and making it a good fit for SD-Branch deployments that range from desktop access to data center aggregation.
FortiLink is Fortinet's proprietary management protocol that lets a FortiGate Next-Generation Firewall seamlessly manage any FortiSwitch, reducing complexity and management cost as network security and access-layer functions are configured through a single console, with centralized, role-based policy management.

Does the 424E-FIBER support Power over Ethernet?
No. As an all-fiber switch with SFP and SFP+ ports rather than RJ45 copper ports, the 424E-FIBER has no PoE output.
