Grandstream GCC6010 Unified Communications & Networking Convergence System

The Grandstream GCC6010 is the entry point of the convergence range: a VPN router, a next-generation firewall, an IP PBX and a network switch in one box, with five Gigabit ports and two 2.5 Gigabit SFP ports.

It is aimed at the site that cannot justify four separate boxes. A small office normally ends up with an ISP router, a phone system, a switch and no real firewall at all — because a proper one costs more than the rest put together. This puts an enterprise-grade firewall in reach of a business that was never going to buy one on its own.

The firewall is genuine: anti-virus, layer 3-7 IDS/IPS, deep packet inspection and SSL detection. Multi-WAN with load balancing and failover, and hot standby high availability, are included.

Frequently asked questions

Is one box for everything actually a good idea?

For a small site, usually yes — one interface, one firmware schedule, one support route. The honest counter-argument is that a single device is a single point of failure, which is why hot standby is supported.

Is the firewall a real firewall?

Yes — anti-virus, layer 3-7 intrusion detection and prevention, deep packet inspection and SSL detection. Most small offices have never had anything like it, because bought separately it costs more than everything else in the cupboard.

GCC6010, GCC6010W or GCC6011?

The W adds a built-in Wi-Fi access point — useful in one open room, no substitute for proper access points across a building. The 6011 has ten Gigabit ports instead of five. Otherwise they are the same device.

Is the PBX as capable as a UCM?

It is a full IP PBX with voice, video and collaboration. For the largest call capacities or many analogue ports, a dedicated UCM is still the right answer — tell us the numbers and we will say honestly which fits.

Do I still need a SIP provider?

Yes. The built-in PBX is the phone system, not the phone lines.
