Grandstream GVC3210 Video Conferencing Endpoint

The Grandstream GVC3210 is an all-in-one video conferencing endpoint for small and medium rooms: a 16-megapixel CMOS sensor producing up to 4K Ultra HD at 30 fps, a four-microphone beamforming array, and Android with dual-band Wi-Fi and Bluetooth — all in one unit that sits on top of the screen.

The camera is ePTZ, and that is the honest trade to understand. There is no motor — pan, tilt and zoom are done digitally by cropping into the 16 MP sensor. In a huddle room or a medium meeting room that works well, because the sensor has resolution to spare. In a long boardroom where you need to reach the far end of the table optically, the GVC3220 with its 12× optical zoom is the right unit instead.

Because it runs Android, the room is not locked to one meeting service — the usual conferencing apps install directly on the device, and it registers as a SIP endpoint against your own platform as well.

Frequently asked questions

What is ePTZ and does it matter?

Electronic pan-tilt-zoom — the camera crops into its 16 MP sensor instead of moving. In small and medium rooms it is indistinguishable from a motorised camera. In a long room, optical zoom keeps detail that digital cropping loses; that is what the GVC3220 is for.

Can it run Teams or Zoom?

The unit runs Android and the mainstream conferencing apps install on it. It is not a certified Teams or Zoom Room device, so behaviour follows the Android app rather than the certified room experience — fine for most rooms, worth knowing for a boardroom standardised on one platform.

Does it need a separate codec or PC?

No — camera, microphones, speaker connectivity and the processing are all in the one unit. Screen, power, and either Wi-Fi or Ethernet is the whole install.

How big a room will the microphones cover?

The four-mic beamforming array suits a huddle or medium meeting room. For a long table, add the GMD1208 wireless microphone rather than asking people to shout.

Can it call our other offices directly?

Yes — as a SIP endpoint it registers to your UCM or hosted platform, so room-to-room video between sites needs no third-party service at all.
