Frequently asked questions

How is this different from a Bluetooth headset?

It uses DECT — a dedicated wireless voice standard with much greater in-building range than Bluetooth and no contention with Wi-Fi or mobile devices. For desk-based staff who roam the office mid-call, DECT is usually the better tool.

Does it need a base station?

No — it connects through the small USB DECT adapter included in the box, and charges over the included USB cable. A charging stand version is available elsewhere in the Engage 55 range.

Which wearing style should I use?

Whichever suits you: the ear hook is lightest, the headband most secure for long shifts, and the neckband a discreet in-between. All three are included, so you can switch at any time.
