The Snom M56 is the ruggedised work-force handset that completes the M5xx series: a robust, dust- and waterproof IP67 housing built for workshops, assembly halls and outdoor work. Splash water or a brief drop into water is no problem, and it resists dust and mud — this is the M-series handset that goes where the job is messy.

The rubberised housing sits securely in the hand, the generous 2.4-inch colour display keeps everything in view, and the large keypad works even in work gloves. It registers to the M-series bases — pick it up with the M250 in the Snom M256 bundle, or add it to a Snom M500 dual-cell system alongside M55 office handsets.

Lone workers are looked after too: an integrated alarm (emergency) button, a dead-man's function and a built-in flashlight give staff working alone practical protection. With 12 hours of talk time in HD audio quality and support for Bluetooth headphones, it lasts a full shift and then some.
