TP-Link EAP215 Bridging Kit

The EAP215 Bridging Kit is a preconfigured pair of Omada 5 GHz wireless bridges that carries up to 867 Mbps over distances of up to 5 km — the straightforward way to link an outbuilding, barn, car park or CCTV pole back to the main LAN without trenching cable. Thanks to Omada SmartBridging the two units arrive auto-paired: mount them, power them and the link comes up out of the box.

Each end has three Gigabit Ethernet ports, so IP cameras or other devices can connect at the far end without an extra switch. For longer hops consider the Beam Bridge Kit (up to 15 km), or the EAP211 kit for shorter runs. At the head end, a PoE switch such as the TP-Link SG1005P powers cameras and ties the link into the network.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a controller to set the kit up?

No. The two bridges are preconfigured and auto-pair as soon as they are powered. You can run them standalone via the Omada app or local web UI, or adopt them into Omada SDN for remote, centralised management alongside your other Omada kit.

How are the bridges powered?

A passive PoE adapter and power cord are included. Each unit also accepts 802.3af PoE and 12V DC, and is compatible with TP-Link solar power supply systems for off-grid installs.

Can I connect more than two points?

Yes — PtMP auto-pairing supports up to 1-to-4 multi-bridge connections. Set the role switch on each unit and press the pair button; no portal login is required.

Is it suitable for harsh outdoor sites?

Yes. The IP65 weatherproof enclosure operates from -40 °C to +70 °C, so it is happy on masts, barns and rooftops year round.
